Starting in emergency veterinary medicine in 1998, Peter was able to expand his skill within critical care, internal medicine, and surgery. But, at the same time he also learned techniques for strong shift leadership and to combine the unique skill sets and personalities of the support staff to build the strongest team possible. In 2005, he joined the ownership group of the business and continued to supplement his on the job experience with attendance at veterinary business academies and focused conferences. In 2008, he became the Medical Director and focused on implementing better technology to improve efficiencies, evaluating medicines and protocols, and continuing to build a highly functional management team. Over time, he added specialists to the original core group of surgeons and internists and helped build the practice into one of the most highly-regarded practices in Marin County.

After successfully selling the practice in 2019 and working with the parent company for several years, Peter started TowardHealth Consulting to help healthcare businesses improve efficiency, implement new technology, reduce costs, market to the public, improve teams, and achieve goal-focused results.
